Q2 (April-June)
Improvements for a Seamless Experience
We’ve rolled out a series of powerful updates across IdeaScale—from streamlined campaign setup to enhanced accessibility
Key Updates:
We’re redesigning the Workspace Home Page to make it more visually engaging and fully customizable.
Admins will be able to use Edit Mode to add personalized content—introducing the workspace, highlighting key communities, and showcasing important campaigns.
This enhancement helps set the tone for members and gives each workspace a unique and branded experience.
New Facilitator Guides would be soon available for every IdeaScale Whiteboard template! These step-by-step resources make it easy to lead engaging sessions—even if it’s your first time. Each guide explains the template’s purpose and provides tips for effective collaboration.
We are making the AI tool directly available from the Bento Box (9-dot menu)—no need to remember or enter URLs manually.

Q3 (July-September)
Microsoft Teams In-App Integration
IdeaScale’s Microsoft Teams integration brings collaborative innovation to your daily workflow. Whether you’re using Teams, Outlook, or Microsoft 365, IdeaScale app helps you engage with ongoing campaigns, submit ideas, comments, and vote on submissions, and give Kudos to your colleagues without leaving your collaboration environment and needing to learn a new system.
Complete Rebuild of Reporting
We’re rolling out a rebuild of the admin reporting suite with several powerful enhancements:
Key Updates:
Design insightful visual reports with a flexible drag-and-drop interface.
Automatically generate and export visual data summaries.
A popular feature from Legacy Reporting that allows exploring detailed data more easily.
Access insights like Engaged Members, Most Active Users, Stage Activity Snapshots, and many more.
Gain better visibility into idea progress at each stage.
Improvements to Idea Management
Idea Management is evolving to give you more control. It’s a shift toward more connected, customizable, and efficient innovation.
Key Updates:
We’re enhancing Idea Management by making it available at the Workspace level. You’ll now be able to view all ideas from across all communities within the workspace in one place.
We’re also introducing powerful new filters to help users quickly find the ideas they’re looking for.
We’re introducing Stage Scores as additional columns in Idea Management. Admins can customize their view by selecting the specific columns they want to display.

Q4 (October-December)
Complete Refresh Admin Settings
Completely rebuilt, visually stunning, and more intuitive way to manage all your admin settings.
Key Updates:
A complete overhaul of the administrative functionality, with a focus on simplicity and elegance.
Enjoy a more intuitive and visually appealing experience that simplifies complex tasks.
Fewer buttons, better organization, and an overall smoother experience to empower administrators.
Innovation Accounting in Reporting and Idea Management
To help users understand the return on investment (ROI) of their ideas, we’re introducing a new Innovation Accounting feature.
As part of this, we will add new idea fields where users can enter basic cost and benefit details — such as the estimated cost to implement the idea and the expected benefits (like cost savings or revenue gain).
Once this information is added, the ROI of the idea will be automatically calculated and displayed in:
- Idea Management – so admins can easily compare ideas
- Reports – to analyze the impact of ideas across campaigns
- Idea Details page – so contributors and viewers can also see the potential value of each idea
This feature will help communities make better decisions by focusing on ideas that offer the highest value.
Model Context Protocol (MCP) Interface
We are introducing a secure standards-compliant MCP interface that allows external LLMs like Anthropic Claude or Azure OpenAI to securely access IdeaScale data (ideas, campaigns, metadata).
Phase 1 will offer read-only access, enabling customers to retrieve relevant ideas (e.g., “What ideas are related to customer service?”). Admins can set this up with API keys, manage tools via a simple UI, and monitor usage with full audit logs.
